Kevin McLeod takes a look around Eco Modular Living's Paloma Lodge which is kitted out from top to bottom with eco-friendly resources. Structurally Insulated Panels (SIP), energy saving lighting systems, water saving devices amongst other energy efficient features.

The Paloma is a single storey, two bedroom, compact lodge full of feature and a creative use of space. The central wall breaks up the living space from the kitchen, but retains the open plan feel.

The kitchen is well appointed with oven/hob, washing machine, dishwasher, and fridge freezer if required. The double bedroom has fitted wardrobes; along with 'Jack and Jill' doors to the bathroom, this provides an en-suite feel. The second, twin bedroom can accommodate a double bed, along with its own fitted wardrobe.

The build of the Paloma from a recycled, galvanized structure which exceeds current building regulation specifications and can be manufactured to achieve Low and Zero carbon rating where desired.

Any building can be redesigned in 21 days and installed in less than a day. Eco Modular's designs vary from one modular, single storey structures to multi-storey options. Eco Modular Living's bespoke service allows you to decide your own configuration based on your desired square footage and site requirements. Their low carbon accommodation comes with a range of guarantees; a minimum 50 years for galvanized structural frames to 30 years maintenance free on our Thermowood cladding option.

It is a well known fact in our industry sector, however not well publicised, that the use

of preowned modular buildings is the most environmental friendly method of construction

and a highly sustainable alternative to new build and disposal of buildings in landfill sites.

Pre-owned modular buildings generate less than 10 per cent of the carbon omissions and

use less than 3 per cent of the energy during construction compared to a newly manufactured building - Jackie Maginnis, Chief Executive of The Modular and Portable Building Association.

Whether specifying our base model or Zero Carbon Home, we can integrate and provide site specific renewable energy solutions, wild flower roofing, rainwater harvesting and recycling systems, low energy appliances, smart monitoring and regionally sourced materials to achieve a proven environmentally compliant solution.

Made by the living space designers with an eco conscience...

Our sustainable solutions can be tailored for homes, apartments, holiday homes and even hotels. Eco Modular Living's radical approach to reducing the carbon footprint is the first of its kind in the building industry.
